Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis recently went their separate ways publicly after 14 years of marriage. Of course those of us in the know said their relationship was all over but the crying months ago. They have two young children together and the custody battle is about to begin, so strap on your typecasting and phone Tim Burton! 
 
Hollywood Hiccups has the inside track on the story: “Vanessa is furious and ready for a fight, she wants Johnny to spend as little time as possible with the children.  She does not want her children exposed to any of his new girlfriends.  The children are already distraught at the loss of their father.” 
 
Johnny Depp allegedly offered Vanessa Paradis $100 million to make it all go away. That is the cost of a small island in the Caribbean. Oh, wait, they already have one… 
 
There are conflicting rumors of Johnny Depp dating his co-star, Amber Heard, who is a self-declared bisexual – Johnny got with her during the filming of the tedious film The Rum Diaries.  Since Johnny has been hot and heavy with Amber, Vanessa Paradis has been heartbroken and out in the cold – and now she has turned bitter. 
 
Vanessa, it is usually not wise to imply to Lilly Rose and Jack that their father’s new girlfriends are walking Centers for Disease Control. They don’t infect people with Ebola. They merely copulate. 
 
We’re wondering whether this whole custody battle will be more “300” than “Full Metal Jacket” and where the kids will end up in all of this. A divorce is difficult for an entire family, especially the innocent children, so we’re truly hoping that this whole custody battle results in an amicable split.  Fat chance of that happening – you know, a woman scorned and all that.  Vanessa is already trying to use her kids to hurt Johnny.

Tomkat’s residential collection reads like a rental agent’s guide to taking over the world. The first property in the custody battle is the Beverly Hills estate on Calle Vista Drive. This property was bought for $30,500,000 in April of 2007, just six months after their wedding.  According to Radaronline, “[The property spans] 10,286 square feet with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the traditional style house was originally built in 1937 and sits on 1.3 acres behind majestic gates and a lengthy driveway that opens up to a tennis court and pool.” Sounds like our dream home, doesn’t it? Tom also owns a much smaller house on Torreyson Drive that he bought in 2005 before his marriage to Katie. This property costs $9.85 million and has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. This house was also used as the Jim Jones Church of Scientology HQ’s lavish parties where they sacrificed little kittens where they listened to Carly Rae Jepsen and danced into the morning light. They also have a residence in New York’s up market Greenwich Village which was purchased for over fifteen million dollars. They also have a cabin in the woods where the Cruise’s made snow angels in Colorado. This property contains 9 bedrooms and Tom owned this property before his marriage to Nicole Kidman. Sorry, but we didn’t get the crazed materialism memo in our annual Scientology news letter, please send it again Tom and don’t forget to CC Charles Manson – he just loves reading emails in prison. It seems that even rich and famous people have problems. Poor Katie Holmes needed to get away from the controlling Tom Cruise. At least she’s getting a house. Not bad, hey? John Travolta’s gay sex scandal continues to plague the star legally while it also destroys his marriage to Kelly Preston. Years of deceit and cheating with multiple lovers can sort of do that to a relationship. So Johnny decided to fly Kelly to Hawaii for a holiday in the sun where he could work his considerable charm on his disgruntled wife and try to save his troubled marriage. 
 
But as the National Enquirer reports in the cover story of the July 2 Print Edition, what transpired was instead was ‘The Screaming Match that SPLIT John & Kelly!’  The Enquirer reports that instead of reconciling, John and Kelly had a massive fight that insiders are calling their ‘nastiest screaming match ever!’ 
 
‘It could break them up for good’ said a close source.  ‘Kelly packed her bags and was ready to leave, but John convinced her to stay and present a united face to the public by leaving the island with him.’   According to The Enquirer, insiders report that Kelly is ‘embarrassed and humiliated beyond belief’ by the lawsuits filed against John by male masseurs claiming sexual battery.  The Enquirer takes credit for adding to Kelly’s distress by revealing that Doug Gotterba, John’s former pilot, carried on a six-year sexual affair with him in the 1980’s. 
 
According to The Enquirer, during their ‘romantic getaway’ the couple stayed with friends at a private home in Kauai – but romance ended fast when Kelly exploded in a fit of rage after she learned of John’s long term love affair with Doug. ‘She boiled over and ripped into him’ said the source and ‘lashed out at Travolta and is wondering what’s next.’  Can you blame her? 
 
Whatever else happened on the ‘romantic getaway’ you can read in the print edition, like I did.  But the bottom line is that if Kelly were not a brainwashed Scientology freak she would dump that two-timing (make that twelve-timing) bum and get out of the relationship. I mean where is the woman’s self-respect?
