Was Tom Cruise a control freak hell bent on destroying Katie Holmes’ career? Did Tom Cruise control Katie so much that she missed out on career opportunities and had to file for divorce? Or was the divorce filing more a case of ‘save Suri?’ 
 
Both sides are heating up and entertainment writers are trying to take objective sides. In the beginning, we were all trying to write brilliant exposes on Scientology and Tom Cruise’s bizarre nature, but the more we investigated the situation, the more we realized that Tom is actually not the only one to blame in this break-up. 
 
According to TMZ, “Tom Cruise controlled Katie Holmes like a puppetmaster [sic] … making every major and even minor decision in her personal and professional life … and in the end, she felt like she couldn’t breathe without his permission … this according to sources close to the actress.” 
 
According to TMZ, Tom Cruise executed an “art kill” on Katie’s 2005 film, Thank You for Smoking and forced producers to kill any promotional shots which showed Katie’s character being involved with Aaron Eckhart in any compromising way. 
 
Tom executed another “art kill”, which sounds similar to a Chinese martial arts film with poor dubbing and face kicking, on Batman Begins.  Katie wasn’t allowed to fly with the rest of the cast and had to use Tom Cruise’s private jet.  Morgan Freeman was “disgusted” by this.  Never disgust the best narrator this side of God, he might just make another Almighty film. 
 
Are we sure Katie is truly honest in her reasons for the split? Will there be a backlash after the divorce? Is she really as sweet and innocent as she attempts to be? 
 
We’re not too sure what to make of this and we’re still going back to the Katie Holmes drawing board, trying to figure out what the heck is really going on.
