Rookie Blue Recap: Season 3 Episode 6 ‘Coming Home’ 7/12/12

Tonight on ABC is an all new episode of Rookie Blue titled ‘Coming Home.’ On tonight’s when Izzy disappears, the officers move into emergency mode to track her down. If you missed the last show called “Messy House”, we have a full and detailed recap here for you. 
 
On last week’s show Andy’s personal life turned upside-down when she answered a domestic disturbance call and the social worker on the scene turned out to be her long estranged mother, Claire, who abandoned her and her father 15 years ago.  Andy had to deal with her private issues as she worked alongside her mother to investigate the secrets of a family in turmoil. 
 
On tonight’s show a noise complaint at an illegal warehouse party leads Andy and Swarek to an injured John Doe, a homeless squatter who has been brutally stabbed. They apprehend a surprising material witness — Oliver Shaw’s 15-year-old daughter, Izzy. 
 
When Izzy disappears, the officers move into emergency mode to track her down. But her involvement in the crime nearly pushes Shaw over the edge – both as a cop and a father.

Tonight’s recap: Tonight’s episode begins with Andy and Sam at home getting ready for her housewarming party. The fact that she has been living there 6 months is irrelevant. There’s a knock on the door and its Andy’s mother, Clare who has only been back in her life for a month. Andy declines’ her mothers offer to help with the party until she offers her home movies of Andy as a child that were transferred to DVD for her. At that point she decides Clare can help with party food after all. 
 
Andy and Swarek answer a call to a warehouse party. Once on scene they discover a stabbed squatter. As they are trying to gather information a blue haired teen kicks Gail and runs off. The teen ends up being Izzy Shaw, Oliver’s daughter. Shaw decides to play hardball and demands his daughter be taken into custody for assaulting a police officer. 
 
Sam decides to do a background check on Andy’s mom which just pisses her off. She refers to his investigation as an “Epic fail.” 
 
Izzy has been taken to the station where Andy tries to bond with her.  She tells her about how her dad was a cop too but she doesn’t get anywhere with her. Izzy’s best friend Amber has a bloody sweatshirt which has everyone thinking she knows an awful lot about the stabbing.  The squatter is named Adam and fully conscious.  He tells officers that he was stabbed trying to break up a fight between a guy- and a girl with blue hair.  In other words, Izzy knows a lot more than she’s letting on. 
 
Shaw goes to his wives to get his daughter only to find Izzy missing.  Traci decides to get the truth out of Amber in an interrogation room.  They believe she knows where Izzy is hiding.  Amber spills and says that the bag she is carrying is Izzy’s and that Izzy was fighting with DK, a dealer. 
 
Shaw decides to go and pay TK a visit on his own.  He finds Izzy a mess in the apartment and Shaw freaks out.  He takes TK into a bedroom and locks the door.  They bust the door down and find TK on the ground with Shaw holding a gun on him.  Izzy pleads with him not to fire his weapon.  He eventually puts it down and hugs his daughter. 
 
Shaw and Izzy share a moment in the car where he apologizes for not being around enough.  He promises to be more active in her life.

On last week’s show all hell broke loose on Traci’s first day as detective when a carload of young women from a bachelorette party slammed into another vehicle, apparently killing the driver.   When the police discover that the driver of the parked car was dead before the accident, Traci realized that her “rookie” handling of the car crash may have compromised the pending homicide investigation.

Tonight’s recap: Amy realizes she nearly forgot her fathers birthday so she rushes off to see him.  She arrives just as he was celebrating with his new girlfriend.  Awkward moment as she pauses then leaves. 
 
Dev is back in uniform and back with the rest of the rookies after being suspended for awhile.  Andy goes to the scene of a domestic disturbance and finds a couple with two small children.  The father scolds his 11 year old son for calling the police. The boy named Connor goes inside and comes back outside and pulls a gun on everyone.  The police try to negotiate with him and a worker with children and youth shows up.  The worker is a woman named Clare that just so happens to be Andy’s long lost mother.  Things are icy between them at best. 
 
Eventually the police get the gun and the children are forced to be taken from the mother and placed with family members. Andy makes a crack about how hard it is for most mothers to be away from their children. A stash of guns were found hidden in the sons room.  Eventually the mother is released but her children were placed in her sisters custody. 
 
Andy and Clare have the inevitable conversation about how and why she walked away.  Or they try to until andy storms out. 
 
The police are bound and determined to figure out where these guns came from.  The guy claims he was simply holding them for someone.  It doesn’t take long to figure out that Jerry seized the guns five years ago and he signed off on a waiver saying the guns were destroyed.  In other words, his badge is on the line because it looks like he falsified paperwork and then sold the weapons to gang bangers. He remembers the night the guns were taken in another office person told him he could go and they would check the guns in and see that they were destroyed. 
 
A call comes in regarding the two children that were placed with family members.  They are missing after a visit from mom.  Her sister is beyond worried.  She explains that the kids parents have been caught in a cycle of drinking and fighting.. They find the car pretty quickly and Connor is hiding under the front seat.  He claims he drove it to the lake all by himself. 
 
Traci chats up the woman who Jerry says resold the guns.  She believes she is lying through her teeth.  Connor finally tells Clare where his mother is hiding with the baby.  He says she‘s at his grandmother‘s house. Connor is allowed to see his dad at the police station and dad apologizes for messing everything up. 
 
Andy decides to talk to Clare to get a little information.  Clare tells her she called every week to see if she could see her daughter and the answer was no. Andy‘s dad stood in the way of them having a relationship.  Clare asks if they can do dinner and Andy compromises and says she‘ll try coffee together..

Kim Kardashian may look as if she is so in love with Kanye West, but rumor has it that just a few short weeks ago, Miss Innocent Kimmy was eyeing up NFL’s number 2 draft pick Robert Griffin III! I always knew Kim was a little scandalous, but when you’ve got a man worth millions and is self-proclaimed “best rapper” in the game, who is as much of a fur head as yourself and is keeping people talking, why ruin a good thing? 
 
Well, eyes do wander and there is even a reliable source who is willing to say that Kim had her eyes on Mr. Griffin! Jack Burdett, executive producer of 30 Rock, recently said in The Rich Eisen Podcast radio interview that when Kim was visiting the 30 Rock set in April to film for the season finale of the show Griffin II was there to check out the taping after he got chosen to play for the Washington Redskins. 
 
Media Take Out reports that Burdett said, “She sat next to me, while we were watching the show on the monitor and RG3 is a few seats down, and during the commercial break, she starts asking me questions about him. Like, ‘Now, he’s a football player, right?’ I’m like, yeah, yeah. (Kim says,) ‘And he just … something big happened, right?’ I’m like, well, yeah, he just was the No. 2 overall pick tonight. (She asks) ‘And what team?’ … Washington. (She asks) ‘What’s Washington?’ … Redskins. She goes, ‘I don’t know much about football, but, so what’s his deal?’ And I’m thinking, ‘You stay away from him. This is a nice young man.’ “ 
 
Burditt then added, “Her inner alarm was going off.” 
 
If you all recall, Kim and Kanye (or KimYe as some people are calling them), were showing off their probably fauxmance to the world back in early April. How come this news wouldn’t exactly surprise me if it was true?
