Despite all of the marriage rumors, it seems that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez‘s relationship is not as strong as they’d like you to think! 
 
According to TMZ, the teen couple, who have been dating for about a year and a half, have broken up several times in the last few months and are “trying to figure things out.” 
 
Considering how young they are (Justin is 18 and Selena is 19), this news isn’t shocking. (After all, how many people actually end up with their childhood sweetheart?) And the couple looked happy while walking around and eating popsicles together on June 30th. 
 
Recently, Justin told a fan “We’ll see” when asked whether he would marry Selena, and perhaps their recent breakups have stemmed from Selena pushing him for more of a commitment or even a proposal? Related: Justin Bieber Won’t Commit To Selena Gomez 
 
We’d think Justin and Selena would be smart to wait a few more years before making any serious commitments to each other, although we hope they don’t break up! They’re too cute together!
