The usually loud and lively Katy Perry has remained relatively quiet about her love life ever since her high profile split from ex-husband comedian Russell Brand.
The singer has been papped out and about with Florence and the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd in recent months. Robert had described the pair's 'relationship' as "the real deal" in a recent interview. However, when questioned Katy was quick to dispell the rumours, saying,
"That's not even appropriate to label. There are times I go out and meet people and flirt, but it's not really appropriate to have anything serious,"
The Fireworks singer confesses that after her divorce she isn't looking for anything serious just yet, but instead wants to "heal". Though Katy isn't so burned by the break-up that she's ready to throw out the idea of love altogether. The star continued,
"I have a second chance on life. To get maybe a better situation. For me, right now, I'm totally not looking. I'm just looking to heal. And I'm on that path. I'm not down on love,"
Katy has openly admitted that her split from Russell has taught her valuable life lessons. The star's new film ,a documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me follows her on her California Dreams tour and delves into two sides of the singer; the performer and the girl next door. It'll leave you misty-eyed as you see the star double over in distress, learning the news that her marriage is over.
